Solving Approach

At this length, the average word here runs about 3.5 letters. With plenty of short words in the mix, start by isolating any single-letter or two-letter groups โ€” those are almost always "A," "I," "TO," "OF," or "IS." This is rated hard โ€” the substitution pattern is less forgiving, so patience with frequency analysis pays off.

About Micah

Micah was a Hebrew prophet from the town of Moresheth in Judah who lived during the eighth century BCE, making him a contemporary of Isaiah, Amos, and Hosea. The biblical book bearing his name contains oracles and poetry addressing social injustice, corrupt leadership, and the fate of Jerusalem and Samaria during a period of Assyrian imperial expansion. Scholars regard Micah as one of the earliest written prophetic texts, and his words are among the most quoted in later biblical literature, including a famous passage cited in the book of Matthew.

๐Ÿ’ก

Did you know? Micah prophesied during the reigns of three Judahite kings โ€” Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah โ€” placing his activity in the late 8th century BCE, a period that also overlapped with the Assyrian conquest of the northern kingdom of Israel in 722 BCE.
