Privacy Policy & Usage Rights
Effective date: June 1, 2026 · webcryptogram.com
The Short Version
WebCryptogram is a free puzzle site. We do not collect your name, email, or any personal information. We use a small number of cookies to remember your puzzle preferences. We show ads through Google AdSense, which may use its own cookies. Teachers and students are welcome to print and use our puzzles for free.
Educational & Personal Use
Puzzles on WebCryptogram may be freely printed and used for personal enjoyment, classroom instruction, homeschooling, libraries, puzzle nights, and any other non-commercial purpose — no permission required. We only ask that you credit WebCryptogram.com when sharing printed copies.
Commercial use — such as republishing our puzzles in a paid product, book, or service — requires written permission. Contact us at the address below.
Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. We have no user accounts, no email list, and no contact forms that retain data.
Your puzzle activity stays entirely in your own browser via cookies (see below). None of it is sent to our servers.
Cookies We Use
We use a small number of functional cookies to improve your puzzle experience. These cookies are stored only in your browser and contain no personal information.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| pb_easy, pb_medium, pb_hard | Remembers your personal best solve time for each difficulty level | 1 year |
| streak_last_date | Remembers the last date you played the daily puzzle | 1 year |
| streak_count | Remembers your current consecutive daily play streak | 1 year |
You can clear these cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will reset your personal bests and streak counter.
Advertising & Third-Party Cookies
WebCryptogram displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show you ads based on your interests and prior visits to other websites.
We do not control Google's cookies and have no access to the data they collect. You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/privacy, and opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
Children's Privacy
WebCryptogram is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, please contact us and we will promptly address it.
Your Rights (CCPA / US State Privacy Laws)
Because we do not collect personal information, most data privacy rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply in practice — there is no personal data to access or delete. We do not sell personal information to any third party.
If you have questions about your data or wish to contact us, email: privacy@webcryptogram.com
