Words of Jesus
Jesus of Nazareth is the central figure of the Christian faith and one of the most influential people in human history. Christians believe him to be the Son of God — fully divine and fully human — who came to earth, lived among people, taught with unmatched authority, died on a cross, and rose from the dead. His teachings on love, forgiveness, humility, and the Kingdom of God turned the world upside down and have shaped the moral imagination of billions of people across two thousand years. In many Bible editions, the direct words of Jesus are printed in red — a tradition begun in the early twentieth century to help readers immediately identify his voice. These cryptograms encode only those red-letter passages: the Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount, the great "I am" declarations in the Gospel of John, his commands, his promises, his parables, and his prayers. There is no more important collection on this site.
