Love & Relationships Cryptogram Puzzles

More has been written about love than about any other human experience, which suggests either that it's the most important thing or the most confusing — possibly both. The quotes in this collection span the full spectrum: romantic love, parental love, self-love, the love that holds friendships together through years and distance. They come from novelists who understood intimacy, from philosophers who tried to systematize it, from poets who gave up on systems and just described what they felt. Some of these quotes will feel immediately familiar; others will surprise you with how precisely they name something you've experienced but never quite managed to articulate. They're worth decoding slowly.

Solver tip:Love quotes are rich with short, common words — "love," "life," "heart" — which appear so frequently they can give you half the cipher map in the first few minutes.

About These Puzzles

Each puzzle on WebCryptogram uses a unique letter substitution cipher — every letter in the alphabet is swapped for a different one, and that mapping stays consistent throughout the puzzle. To solve it, click on any cipher letter and type your guess. The puzzle tracks your time, counts hints and errors, and rates your performance when you finish.
